Getting Lost
Last night was an interesting night. Kelly shot his first buck with his bow. He called me at 7:30 to tell me that he got a deer and I was on my way home form dropping a friend off. So me excited to help him track it down hurried home. By that time it was dark and we ventured out into the woods to look for this deer. Growing up I helped my dad track his deer all the time cause i had the eagle eyes in the family. So I knew that we should bring some toilet paper out with us cause we could use it to mark the last blood spot, so we did. After 2 1/2 hours trying to track this deer we couldn't find the next spot it was like this deer had quit bleeding all a sudden. Well the conclusion to the story is we didn't find the deer and our flashlights were getting low had no idea what way we should go back cause the toilet paper wasn't the easiest to see at 10:30 at night, so my mother in law drove the truck out into the field and we had to try to hear our way back by her honking on the horn every 2 min. Thank goodness my husband brought out his cell phone or we'd been spending the night in the woods.

Hey Katie. Did you ever get a big buck to put in the house??? I just started a blog for our family as well...courtesy of the Wyman's inspiration.
